LETTER: US president Donald Trump will have problems repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
He’s now saying that the Republicans can in fact just sit around and do nothing.
He believes Obamacare will collapse on its own. Then, he believes, the Republicans can blame the Democrats and Obama.
How will that help the people?
Obamacare forced insurance companies to insure existing conditions and many conditions which people generally suffered from.
That forced premiums up.
The federal government agreed to subsidise premiums.
Trump is not happy the federal government was subsidising premiums.
He wants to dump the subsidies on the state governments. The state governments cannot afford to subsidise premiums.
So, back to square one for Trump on Obamacare.
If Trump forces insurance companies to lower premiums, they won’t cover existing conditions and other conditions which people generally suffer from.
Without existing conditions and other conditions which people generally suffer from, insurance policies will be useless.
