A response on the Year of the Cock

LETTER: There may be hope for you in the Year of the Cock.

Talking cock becomes halal in the Year of the Cock.

So, you have a year to talk cock and not be blamed for it or feel guilty at all.

Normally, those who talk cock don’t realise that they are talking cock. So, they don’t feel guilty at all.

Huang Poh Lo vatever is another one who is addicted to talking cock — more accurately talking cheebai — and he even started early this year talking cuni — that means cock in Tamil, but not a reference to the rooster — long before the Year of the Monkey was ushered out and the Year of the Cock came in, the cock rising to the occasion as the fireworks flew.

Huang Poh Lo vatever was up to his usual monkey tricks in the Year of the Monkey. He was assisted by 16 balls carriers who privately msg me that they are not into balls carrying and disagree with Huang Poh Lo vatever.

Vatever is the Tamil way of saying whatever.

Tamils can’t say what. They say vat.

They can’t say “what is this?” They say “vat eis dhis?”

If a Tamil speaks too fast in Ingilis – Tamil way of saying English — it comes across as Tamil.

That reminds me about an American relating his experience in a letter to the Straits Times.

The American was at a McD in Singapore, surrounded by people he assumed to be speaking in Chinese.

After some time, the more he listened, the more he realised the people around him were not speaking in Chinese at all. In fact, they were speaking in English.

That’s Singlish, a variation of Chinglish, the Chinese way of corrupting the English language.

Welcome to hell where they murder the English language.

So, since the Chinese are doing it, the Tamils have jumped on the bandwagon as well.

I bet you that some of the Chinese the American saw in McD were in fact Tamil. Americans are as blind as a bat. They wouldn’t know the difference between a Chinese and a Tamil when it comes to Singlish, or Chinglish, vatever.

There’s nothing more horrible than hearing a Tamil speaking Singlish or Chinglish. Even the Chinaman in Singapore would be forced to ask himself: “Du I leally spik laik tat ah? Sai loh!”

The way to deal with this is to take Huang Poh Lo vatever’s head and knock it against a Chinaman’s head and telecast that live.

It’s more a symbolic gesture to stress a point.
