1MDB senior management ready to be probed

There’s no need for Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli to sensationalise the “probe” and even less need to blatantly break the law in doing so.

PRESS STATEMENT 1MDB has consistently maintained that if any wrongdoing was found, then action must be taken according to the law. We accordingly reiterate 1MDB’s commitment to fully cooperate with all lawful authorities in their investigations.

The matters that Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli has claimed to “expose” are part of an ongoing investigation by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), a lawful select committee of Parliament. There are five opposition members on the PAC.

There’s no need for ‘rabble-rousing Rafizi’ to sensationalise what was already being investigated and even less need to blatantly break the law in doing so.

We understand Rafizi lodged a police report against the company’s senior management.

1MDB confirms that its senior management will fully cooperate with any investigation that may be deemed necessary by the police.

Rafizi claims to have publicly revealed classified information subject to the Official Secrets Act (OSA).

If what Rafizi has done was true, then this blatant breach of the law was shocking to say the least, and worse, coming from a Parliamentarian.
